The program gives every employee the opportunity to have a Career and Education Mentor (CEM) who is a more senior member of the organization. This Mentor is responsible for a small number of employees, called Career and Education Mentees (CEMees). The CEM helps to understand the goals and aspirations of their CEMee in order to help them navigate their own career path. Mr. Alkhalaf was selected to be in the CEM Program Launch Advisory Committee that was established to tackle the changes needed to implement in order to revive and make the new CEM program a success. The Launch Advisory Committee consisted of employees of all levels across the organization. The Committee was kept busy for a number of months on their own time by dealing with the program details, implementation strategy, communications plan, recruitment activities, CEM-CEMee match-up activities, handbook design, integration strategy, CEM training plan, and employee orientation sessions design and delivery. Currently Mr. Alkhalaf is a mentor for three employees. Mr. Alkhalaf is currently mentoring three employees (CEMees).
